Housing Options for the Mentally Ill in Evanston is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable supportive housing and mental health support to adults recovering from chronic mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. We encourage independent living and offer a safe and dignified alternative to homelessness and unnecessary institutionalization.

Since its inception, Housing Options has assisted over 150 individuals recovering from chronic mental illnesses find permanent homes in our apartments, more than 50 of whom were homeless at some point in their lives.
